Gina: Hi Caroline Gina: How can I help? Caroline Murray: Hello Gina, I'm getting in contact because i feel like my download speeds are being limited... Gina: lets look into it Gina: Can I take the 1st and 3rd characters of your password please? Caroline Murray: d and v Gina: Thank you Gina: and what is your wired download speed please? Caroline Murray: Well, it use to be around 37.5-38mb/s but recently it doesn't seem to go aboce 30.84mb/s Caroline Murray: nomatter how many times i do a test Gina: ok, I can also see the decrease here Gina: is there any noise on your land line? Caroline Murray: i don't know. We don't have a landline as we don't really have the use for one. Gina: ill check your connection Caroline Murray: When i say we don't have one, i mean we don't use one i.e. we have no phone plugged into the socket Gina: ok its quite solid which suggests no noise on the line causing drops Gina: is your router in the master phone socket? Caroline Murray: well, we had someone come out to extend the master socket into my sons bedroom Caroline Murray: but we have had no problems since then apart from this one Gina: ok, before raising a fault Gina: you need to get the router/ modem back into the master socket and re test the speeds, Gina: if they are back up Gina: you know the extension is causing the issue Gina: if the speed is still low Caroline Murray: there is no chance of my doing that i'm afraid... Gina: then we can raise a fault Gina: ok Caroline Murray: that is way too much hassle Gina: please raise a fault, please be aware if we send and engineer and the fault is with internal wiring in your home and the router works from correctly from the master you will be charged £50 for the visit Gina: let me get you the link to raise the fault Gina: To raise a fault, please Click here Caroline Murray: Also, that wouldn't work either. The master socket downstairs is a phone line, the socket in my sons bedroom is the ADSL socket (completely different socket) Caroline Murray: I know there is no problem with the socket. Gina: the only different in sockets is one will be pre filtered and the other not Caroline Murray: we have no filters Gina: so in the none filtered socket you would use a micro filter Caroline Murray: and we have never had problems Gina: then please raise the fault Gina: I would strongly advise the internal checks to rule out the chance of you being charged though Gina: the link is above Gina: Can I help with anything else? Caroline Murray: no Gina: have a lovely weekends Caroline Gina: good bye
